1st Gathering JECs 22 Mei 2011

Setelah lumayan lama berada dalam masa vakum :) pada tanggal 22 Mei 2011 kemarin, kami JECs mengadakan Gathering pertama kami yang dapat dikatakan sukses :)

jerih payah kami selama 1 minggu lalu berbuah manis :)
senyum keceriaan peserta gath dapat kami lihat
jerit membahana memekik telinga keluar dari fantasi dunia fansgirling semarang saat itu
euforia kegembiraan tampak jelas terlihat dari masing masing peserta yang hadir XD

teremakashi bagi teman2 yang bersedia hadir pada gath kali ini~ dan teremakashi juga bagi para pihak yang telah membantu kami , sehingga gath dapat terlaksana~ *dan tidak mengecewakan XDDD*

Arashi members drawn in manga form in Asahi Shimbun feature

The February 3 issue of the Asahi Shimbun newspaper featured a special collaboration between boy band Arashi and a few manga artists, titled "ARASHI meets MANGA." The 8-page feature included illustrations of Arashi's five members, drawn by the artists who did the original works behind some of the dramas and films that they have starred in. Each of the members also gave their thoughts on those works.

The illustrations were drawn by:

Taiyo Matsumoto ("Tekkon Kinkreet") - Kazunari Ninomiya
Chica Umino ("Honey and Clover") - Sho Sakurai
Yoko Kamio ("Hana Yori Dango") - Jun Matsumoto

SMAP delivers highest performer ratings at 61st Kouhaku Uta Gassen

The minute-by-minute breakdown of the viewership ratings (in the Kanto region) for the 61st NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen was released to news outlets on Tuesday. (The overall ratings were announced a few days ago.) Based on the data, the ratings peak of the 4-hour show came near the end, reaching 49.7% at 11:41pm as the artists waited on stage for the winning team to be announced. Among the performers, the highest ratings were achieved just before that by SMAP's 2-song medley performance as the show's "ootori" (the final artist), measured at a peak of 48.9%.

This is SMAP's sixth time achieving the highest ratings at Kouhaku Uta Gassen. They previously did it in 2000 (tied with Sachiko Kobayashi and Yuki Koyanagi), 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007.

DREAMS COME TRUE, who performed last for the Red Team and took the stage just before SMAP, had the second highest ratings with 47.2%.

The second half of the show (after 9:30pm) averaged 41.7%, thanks to plenty of highly-rated performances. In fact, the last 15 performances of the show, starting with Yuzo Kayama and ending with SMAP, all rated 40.0% or higher. These included Masaharu Fukuyama (43.4%), Keisuke Kuwata (45.4%), Arashi (43.0%), Sachiko Kobayashi, and Ikimono Gakari.

A few other artists in the second half broke the 40.0% mark. During the first half, which only averaged 35.7%, AKB48 was the only artist to reach that threshold, with ratings of 40.3%.

The complete ratings for all the artists are expected to be publicly released soon.

NTV Best Artist 2010 lineup revealed

NTV recently unveiled the full lineup of performers for its live music program "Best Artist 2010," scheduled for broadcast on December 15 at 7:00pm. 20 artists have been invited.

Arashi's Sho Sakurai will serve as the overall host. NTV announcers Shinichi Hatori and Yukari Nishio will be supporting hosts.

"Ashita no Joe" movie to open in France and southeast Asia

On Friday, Tomohisa Yamashita (25) and other cast members participated in a stage greeting for the movie "Ashita no Joe" at the Toho Cinemas in Roppongi Hills. During the event, distributor Toho announced that the film will be opening in 9 different regions overseas, including France, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Brunei.

The Taiwan release date has been set for March 18, while the others have not yet been decided. It appears likely that they will be scheduled sometime during March, when Yamashita will already be traveling around Asia for the rest of his solo tour.

UPDATE: From a Screen Daily report, the other two regions not listed above are Macau and Indonesia.

Kis-My-Ft2 to release first CD Label Avex

The 7-member boy band Kis-My-Ft2 held a concert at Yoyogi National Gymnasium on Saturday, and during the show, they surprised everyone with the news that they will make their CD debut this May with record label Avex.

The announcement was apparently a surprise even to the group's members. While they were on stage to announce their summer concert tour, they were handed an envelope with the message informing them about their debut.

Kis-My-Ft2 released a couple songs last year as mobile downloads, but they have never released any CDs before. Despite that, their spring 2010 tour drew large crowds, totaling 138,000 fans over 12 concerts.

No details about their debut release are known yet.

YamaP Time

Dalam rangka Ultah Yamap yang ke-25th, kami segenap keluarga besar JECs mengadakan gathering untuk merayakannya. kali ini kami memilih tempat di shibuya (bukan shibuya yang ada di jepang ntu) tapi tempat makan yang ada di sebuah mall, Semarang. ^^

pokoknya acaranya hampir mirip dengan yang di gathering 4th Anniversary nya KATTUN kmaren :D
